All about me
I’m Ariane Cunha, from Brazil but I have been leaving in Australia since 2011 and got my citizenship in 2017. Besides being an artist, I also have a Family Day Care called “Nature Play” where I work with children from 2 to 4 years old, Mondays
to Thursdays. The days I’m not working is all about painting, learning and experimenting … I have a lot to catch up.
My inspirations
I am an artist in Perth that creates colorful abstract art. Sometimes intuitive and sometimes detailed and minimalist with layers of patterns and shapes in a beautiful chaos of colors.
I seek inspiration in nature …in interesting shapes and patterns in our natural world, organic forms, colors combinations and textures.
I will never forget the coral reefs at Whitsunday Islands and their beautiful bright colors… I will always bring these memories into my artwork.
A bit more...
Once the pandemic hit, I had the whole week at home, and I got all these big black paper at home
because I wanted to do an activity with the children but I didn’t get the chance so when the boredom hit and I couldn’t watch Netflix anymore I decided to give it a go and draw something on those huge black papers and all started from there and I couldn’t stop anymore.
